The Austin Zoo & Animal Sanctuary is having a Homeschool Day on Monday, November 17. Homeschool Day begins at 9:30a.m. and ends at 3:30p.m. on Monday, November 17, 2014. The entrance cost for each person is $5 and suited for ages 5-17, you may bring younger children, but if they are 2-4 years they will have to pay the $5 entrance fee as well. The train ride is $2 for everyone. There will be a food truck available from 10:00a.m.-3:00p.m., or you may bring your lunch to enjoy in our shady picnic grove. We will have 15-16 representatives from various organizations and professions stationed throughout the Zoo that will disseminate information to you throughout the day such as; McKinney Falls State Park, Austin Bat Works, Austin Animal Center, Bullock Texas State History Museum, Animal Trustees of Austin, French Legation, Austin Water, Entomologist, Animal Trainer, Urban/Wildlife Biologists. Plus you will be able to visit all of our beautiful rescued animals.
