One of the best ways to find out what Speech & Debate is all about is to attend a tournament and see for yourselves the skills and friendships that are developed through this activity! Nearly 100 students from across Texas will be competing in the Fort Worth Tournament on Dec. 19th and Dec. 20th, which includes Lincoln-Douglas Value debate, Team Policy debate, Individual Policy debate, as well as Parliamentary debate events. This is a perfect opportunity to bring your 12-18yos and come and see for yourselves the benefits of speech and debate training!
We need your help! More than 300 community judges are needed to serve during this 2-day competition. While you are at the tournament, please volunteer to judge. No experience is necessary. All we need is your investment of time. Our students will be relying on your valuable feedback for improvement, growth and encouragement.
Judging each round is a three-hour commitment which includes a thirty-minute judge orientation with complimentary meal, snacks and beverages. Arrival time and orientation are factored in to the time slot so there is no need to arrive early. You may choose to judge a single round or multiple rounds over the course of the two-day tournament.
